Thumbs up to our great program committee. On Nov. 8, we enjoyed a "Backpack" quilt show by quiltmaker Bill Stearman from the Belleville area. His quilts have been shown in Houston, Chicago and the UK in the few years he has been quilting .
Many of his quilts were based on the disappearing nine patch design interpreted in different ways and in his own dyed fabrics. Other quilts reflected his emotions, felt in special moments inspired by music, artists, or children.
Each quilt was a accompanied by the unique story that inspired it and were highlights of the program. All quilts were enhanced with the beautiful thread designs of Deanna Gaudaur.
Everyone enjoyed hearing of his adventures through life.
