THAMES VALLEY QUILTERS' GUILD
QUILT SHOW - 2025
It Takes a Guild
Or rather It Took A Guild to put on an awesome quilt show! This show certainly had its ups and downs, and incidents, and was not without some unforeseen glitches. There were many things that came up that it seemed overwhelming at times, especially for those who hadn't worked on a quilt show before and are new members to the guild. Like it was said before, “new show, new venue”. There were a few items that we had thought to get for display that are not available post pandemic as well as other issues.
Thank you to all who submitted their works of art for display, unfortunately due to space constraints, not all could be hung. We will pass along our reports and considerations for the next committee.
We had very positive comments, such as: “this was a good quilt show, a traditional show”; “it was good to see the diversification of techniques, like the hand quilting” and many more. Of course, all enjoyed the tea room.
At this writing, it is unsure of attendance numbers, amount of boutique sales, in general how we fared.
To all those who volunteered their time, made goodies, or brought their friends with them, many thanks, it's what makes this guild so special.
Many, many thanks to the committee, a show doesn't get done without their commitment:
