February 14 was a treat as our program was four demonstrations by capable members of our Guild.
Dorothy Maynard showed us a unique 2 colour zipper pouch. She had several in different sizes and colour combinations. Well written instructions accompanied her demonstration.
Ellen James shared information about Log Cabin quilts. She used many colourful fabric blocks to show several configurations for a log cabin quilt.
Chloe Truman demonstrated her method of making mitred borders on a quilt. She uses the diagonal lines on a large square ruler to good advantage.
Gwen McCall demonstrated Double Disappearing Nine Patch techniques, shared from a workshop by Bill Stearman. She used striking red black and white, full sized blocks to reveal his method of cutting and reassembling blocks.
