Our final meeting of 2016 began with a presentation by the Woodstock / Oxford branch of Victoria’s Quilts. They make and distribute quilts to cancer patients on requests from friends or family. Many quilts are delivered in London and it would be helpful if a chapter or location could be started here. They provide “kits” so anyone can make a quilt top at home whereas the Woodstock group has a meeting place where members make quilts together. Some members seem interested in becoming involved.
Gail held a draw for three prizes and then all headed to the tables at the back which were laden with lots of goodies. Following a brief business meeting, there was an extended “Show and Share,” including quite a few of the Canada 150 blocks. Photos below demonstrate the talent of so many members.
