This is our first virtual “Let’s Quilt Day” so that you can enjoy a demonstration and a tip of the month. This will be a monthly occurrence during the pandemic and while we are unable to meet. Should you have any ideas for tips or demonstrations, please send a note to Deb Owens. These will be posted on our Instructions and Quilting Tips page.
First of all – some notices. Carolyn Williams has a sewing table for sale. The dimensions are 39” high with the caster wheels. The top is 34” square with additional 15” leaves that fold down. The front has a cabinet for storage with doors on the front and there is an open section just below the top – handy for those things you need to grab quickly. She would like it to go to a good home and she will accept all offers. It is currently disassembled for moving. Please refer to your last news bulletin or contact Deb to get the contact info for this.
One of our advertisers, “Cherished Pieces" in Tillsonburg, has a Facebook page for those on Facebook. Every Wednesday morning, starting at 8:30 am Cynthia is live. During the episode, Cynthia shows you what is new in the store. She also demonstrates various products. The best part is there are prizes! If you comment on the live episode on Wednesday mornings, your name goes in a draw. At the end of the episode names are drawn for prizes! All you have to do is "like" Cherish Pieces. You will be notified of them being live. If you are not on Facebook, search Cherished Pieces and you will see the live show. You can also watch the past episodes. Enjoy!
The Guild has voted to keep the meetings closed until at least May. Susan McVittie and Marlene Dunlap took over 160 masks to take to My Sisters Place. They want to extend their thanks for your help. Good Job!!!!
Don’t forget to e-mail pictures of your quilts and projects along with a short description to Gail Kreek. If you need assistance, please contact another member or a member of the Executive to help you.
Susan McVittie shared a quilt pattern with us at the September executive meeting. It is called “Off Course.” Please go to the Instructions and Quilting Tips page for the directions.
