​Two members set their quilt tops up on tables to be pinned for quilting.  They are absolutely gorgeous.  I was surprised at how quickly they were finished. 
Judy showed us how to make a quick quilt top or table runner using striped or border fabrics.  She made it look so easy and we were impressed with the results.  She offered her demo samples to anyone to have and finish or we were warned we would see the pieces in the spring auction.  They were grabbed up. 
Some members enjoyed visiting while doing handwork or knitting, the library was open for everyone to use and some of us just enjoyed sharing tips and ideas and coffee and tea.
As usual we were a noisy bunch.

Guild members enjoyed Susan Clarke's trunk show at the October meeting. She presented her creative quilts, many of them representing houses and other buildings.

​Several of the guild "Quilting in the Village" quilts are now on permanent display at the Landon Library under the direction of Andrea Manias. She has some extras and will rotate the display from time to time.
Our guild outreach continues to grow as members brought in more pillowcases for the Children's Hospital, "fiddle quilts" for Alzheimer's patients and hygienic supplies for My Sister's Place.
