Using the same concept as a cookie exchange to make work lighter, members interested in making their own Sunshine and Shadows Scrap Quilt will cut and then exchange pieces needed to produce nine patch squares.
Participants will bring cut and share with others in the group
1. Three, 3” squares in three different medium and/or dark colors
2. Three, 3” in different light colors
3. Two 3 ¾ “ squares (one in a light coloured fabric and one in a dark coloured fabric.)
After multiple swaps at our monthly meetings, participants can produce the squares needed to construct their own SUNSHINE and SHADOWS quilt.
Interested members were invited to sign up. Details will be emailed to them.
Members not interested in making their own quilts are invited to donated 3” squares if they wish
Linda Cox shared a tip for sorting our stash by getting different coloured baskets from the dollar store.
A wish list of things they are accepting can be located at: https://cmhamiddlesex.ca/about-cmha/msp/
Fabrics were again offered for sale by outreach
