Sherry shared a good tip; use old rotary blades to cut the board.
Because the glue dries fast, her recommendation was to paste sections at a time. Don't fold the batting over, cut off the edges. Cut a 2.5 " strip long enough to go all the way around the board. Fold the strip in half, and then both sides into the middle crease, zig zag stich to hold. Glue the strip flat on the edge all the way around and then run a bead on the fabric on each side a little at a time.
