Another enjoyable guild morning!
This was another lively morning at guild. Quilt Show committee members were reviewing supplies and finalizing some details. Betty Huygen demonstrated how to add a quilt sleeve to bed quilts in preparation for the quilt show. Members worked on their projects, used the library, brought in more items for the guild boutique and socialized with one another. And as usual, our Refreshment Convenors made sure we had coffee, tea and goodies to carry us through.
Another enjoyable guild morning!

Our April meeting was lively and productive. It was our annual auction led by Betty Huygen. Excellent purchases were made and a good amount of fabric, sewing notions and even frames changed hands. Numerous books and magazines went to new homes.
Final preparations for our Quilt Show in May are being made. Volunteers are signing up for the many areas of involvement and the excitement is growing. The revealing of our Canada 150 Project will occur at the show. Almost 100 quilt blocks representing Canada will be displayed for the first time. This project will move on to Fanshawe Pioneer Village and Landon Library for further sharing. This is a productive vibrant quilting group. |
