Our February Let's Quilt Day was a great place to be on a rainy February morning. Ladies did hand work, pinned and basted quilts and watched a video on using and adjusting a stencil to fit the borders on a quilt. Laurie's quilt. Cindy's purse made from recycled jeans and other fabrics plus a zippered bag Andrea's felted tea cozy.

Our February 10 meeting was a great morning with four guild members sharing Tips and Techniques. Laurie demonstrated "Transforming Fabric with Lemon Juice and Heat." Donna demonstrated samples of colouring on fabric with crayons and also how to make Felted Mittens using fleece and shrunken wool. Brenda led us through the technique of Strip Tube Quilting, using the Strip Tube Quilting Ruler. Marlene showed us how to make a bib using Shadow Quilting. It was a delightful morning of learning and interacting with one another.
Instructions for the projects are available on the "Challenges and Quilting Tips" page. Show and Share |
